How to Buy AI Credits

Summary

Overview: AI Credits pay for the AI features in your dashboard, such as writing product descriptions with AI. Your plan includes a set of Monthly AI Credits that refresh every month. If you run low, top up any time: 50 credits for $ 1.00.

Prerequisites:

  • A Launch, Grow, Scale or Premium Trial plan.
  • A credit or debit card. You can add one during checkout, or first in Billing (see How to Manage Your Payment Cards).

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Credits tab

  1. Click your name or profile picture at the top right of the dashboard.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click the Credits tab. AI Credits is the first section.

Shortcut for store owners: click the lightning-bolt icon (Credits Usage) in the top bar, then click Top Up next to AI Credits. This opens the Credits tab with the top-up window already open, so you can skip to Step 3, item 2.

Step 2: Check your balance

The AI Credits section shows:

  • Monthly AI Credits, with your plan, the credits left this month (for example 80/100 Credits available), and the date they refresh (Refreshes on)
  • Total AI Credits Balance: your monthly credits plus any credits you bought. Hover over the number to see Monthly AI Credits and Topped-up Credits separately.
  • a bar showing how much of your balance is left
  • By using AI, you have achieved: the hours AI has saved you

Step 3: Choose how much to buy

  1. Click Top Up.
  2. In the Top Up Your AI Credits window, enter a whole dollar amount from $10 to $1,000. Every $1 buys 50 credits.
  3. Click Confirm.

The purchase moves to the Order Summary panel. It's on the right of the Billing page, or below the tabs on a smaller screen.

Step 4: Pay

  1. In the Order Summary, check AI CREDITS SELECTED. It shows the number of credits you're buying and One-time payment - 50 credits for $ 1.00.
  2. (Optional) If you have a promo code, enter it in the PROMO CODE field and click Apply. If a Warning window appears, click Confirm. When it works, you'll see Promo code successfully applied! and a lower Total.
  3. Under Select a Credit Card, click the card you want to pay with. To use a new card, click Add a New Credit Card, enter the card details and click Save Card.
  4. Tick the box that starts with I understand that this is a non-refundable purchase.
  5. Click Pay Now. Your card is charged straight away. If your bank asks you to verify the payment, follow its prompts.

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

  • A Purchase successful! message appears.
  • Your Total AI Credits Balance goes up by the credits you bought. If it hasn't changed yet, refresh the page.
  • The purchase appears on the Invoices tab as an AI Credits Top-Up invoice.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

  • "Please complete all the required fields.": enter an amount before you click Confirm.
  • "The minimum amount for top-up is $ 10.00." or "The maximum amount for top-up is $ 1,000.00.": enter an amount from $10 to $1,000.
  • "Please accept the terms and conditions first.": tick the box above Pay Now.
  • "Please select a credit card first.": click a card under Select a Credit Card, or add one.
  • "No saved card on file. Please add a credit card first.": add a card (see How to Manage Your Payment Cards), then try again.
  • "Your card was declined. Please try a different card." or "Payment failed. Please try again or use a different card.": you were not charged. Choose another card, or check with your bank.
  • "Sorry! The promo code does not exist. Please activate a valid promo code.": check the spelling of the code, or remove it and pay without one.
  • "Sorry! The promo code has already expired. Please activate a valid promo code. No changes in billing has been made.": the code has ended. Pay without it or use another code.
  • "This promo code cannot be applied. The payment gateway requires a minimum checkout amount of $ 0.50.": with this code, the total would fall below $0.50. Buy more credits or skip the code.
  • There's no Credits tab, or no Top Up button: your store is on the Free plan or suspended. Upgrade your plan first (see How to Choose a Prosperna Plan).

Limitations & considerations

  • AI Credits are non-refundable. They can only be used on this Prosperna account and can't be withdrawn as cash.
  • Your monthly credits are used first. Credits you buy are used after your monthly credits run out.
  • Monthly AI Credits refresh to your plan's amount on the date shown under Refreshes on.
  • Credits you bought can't be used while your store is on the Free plan or suspended.
  • The amount is in whole US dollars. Decimals are dropped (for example, 15.75 becomes 15).
  • AI Credits are always paid by card, in US dollars, for stores in every country.
