How to Use the Marketplace

Summary

Overview: The Marketplace is where you add extra features (apps) to your store, such as QR Code Menu, Menu View, Wholesale Pricing, Blogs and courier apps. Most apps built by Prosperna are free on any paid plan and turn on with one click. The Lazada and Shopee integrations are paid add-ons with their own monthly price.

Prerequisites:

  • A store on the Launch, Grow, Scale or free trial plan.
  • Store owner access, or a team member with Store settings & administration access.
  • For a paid add-on: a Grow or Scale plan and a payment method (a saved credit card, or GCash).

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Marketplace

  1. In the sidebar, click Marketplace.
  2. Use the two tabs at the top:
    • All: every app you can add. Each card shows the app's name, a short description and its price label: FREE! or Pay as you go.
    • My Apps: the apps you've already activated. If you have none, you see No installed apps as of the moment.
  3. Click Learn More on any card to open its details window (overview, features and requirements).

Step 2: Activate a free app

Apps built by Prosperna (QR Code Menu, Menu View, Wholesale Pricing, Blogs, Custom Fonts, Order Scheduling, Custom Delivery Date, Store Locator: Geolocation, Senior/PWD Discount, and Banner and Pop-ups) are free on every paid plan.

Senior/PWD Discount is offered to Philippine stores only. On a US store the Activate button is greyed out and the card says Available for Philippine stores only. Its window has its own Activate button rather than Free — Activate, and after activating it takes you straight to the setup in Discounts. See How to Set Up the Senior Citizen and PWD Discount.

  1. On the All tab, click Learn More on the app.
  2. In the window, check that the price reads FREE.
  3. Click Free — Activate. The button shows Activating..., then Activated.
  4. You see App activated successfully! The app now appears on the My Apps tab.

After activation, most apps add their settings to another page (for example Settings → Store). See the article for each app.

Step 3: Subscribe to a paid add-on (Lazada or Shopee)

  1. On the All tab, click Learn More on the Lazada or Shopee card.

  2. Pick a tier. Each tier shows its monthly price and how many orders it syncs:

    Silver ₱995/month up to 499 orders per month
    Gold ₱1,495/month unlimited orders per month

  3. Click Subscribe Now. The Order Summary panel opens.

  4. Under PAYMENT TERMS, choose Monthly, Quarterly or Annually.

  5. (Optional) Type a code under Promo Code (Enter Discount Code) and apply it.

  6. Check the Subscription Fee, Prorated Subscription Fee, Discount and Total.

  7. Under Payment Type, choose:

    • Credit Card Payment: pick a saved card (or add one), or
    • E-wallet: click Proceed, then select GCash.

  8. Tick the box that starts I understand that if my current core subscription plan expires, gets cancelled, or downgrades to a Free Plan, I will lose access to this add-on feature...

  9. Click Pay Now. For GCash, you're taken to the payment page to finish paying.

  10. When payment goes through, you see Success and Payment successful! You may now enjoy the [app name] Add-on feature. Click Ok to go to My Apps.

Step 4: Manage your apps on My Apps

  1. Click the My Apps tab.
  2. On a free app, click Manage to open its settings.
  3. On Lazada or Shopee, click Activate (or Manage once connected) to open the connection window. Click the ⋮ menu for Update Plan (change tier) or Cancel Subscription.

Step 5: Deactivate a free app or cancel a paid add-on

  1. On the My Apps tab, click the ⋮ menu on the app card.
  2. Click Deactivate (free apps) or Cancel Subscription (paid add-ons).
  3. In the Cancel Subscription window, type CANCEL in the box.
  4. Click Cancel Subscription. Click Do Not Cancel to keep the app.

You lose access to the app's feature immediately. Its settings are switched off. For example, deactivating QR Code Menu turns off the QR Code Menu switch, and deactivating Menu View removes Menu View from your product listing layouts.

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

  • After activating, the app's button reads Activated and the app appears on My Apps.
  • After paying for an add-on, you see the Success window and the add-on appears on My Apps.
  • After deactivating or cancelling, the app disappears from My Apps.
  • Add-on charges appear on your invoices (see How to View and Download Your Invoices).

Troubleshooting

Common errors

  • "Not available in your country.": the app isn't offered for your store's country. The activate button is disabled.
  • "Upgrade your plan to activate this app.": your store is on the Free plan. Subscribe to a paid plan first.
  • An Upgrade window says "Lazada is only available for GROW and SCALE plans." (or Shopee): you're on Launch. Upgrade to Grow or Scale.
  • "This app is only available for paid accounts.": paid add-ons can't be bought during the free trial. Subscribe to Grow or Scale first.
  • "Please type CANCEL to confirm.": type CANCEL exactly, in capital letters.
  • "Downgrade is not allowed on different billing types.": to move to a cheaper tier, keep the same payment term (monthly, quarterly or annual) as your current subscription.
  • A card shows a disabled Disabled button: the add-on was disabled because it doesn't match your current plan. Hover over the app name for details, then upgrade your plan. Lazada and Shopee must be activated again after they're re-enabled.

Limitations & considerations

  • If your plan expires, is cancelled or drops to Free, you lose access to your add-ons unless you subscribe to a paid plan. If you move to Launch, Lazada and Shopee stop working because they need Grow or Scale.
  • Moving to a cheaper add-on tier takes effect on the next billing cycle.
  • Paid add-ons are priced in Philippine pesos.
  • Cancelling an add-on ends access immediately.
  • Some apps appear only for certain countries. For example, Multi-currency is listed only for US stores.
