How to Manage Your Store from Your Phone

Summary

Overview: The Prosperna dashboard works in your phone's browser, and in the installed Prosperna app. You log in with the same account and see the same store, orders and products as on a computer. This article explains how the dashboard changes on a small screen: how to open the menu, what you see when a new order comes in, and which parts look different or are hidden.

Prerequisites:

  • A store on the Launch, Grow, Scale or Premium Trial plan.
  • Your Prosperna login. See How to Log In to Prosperna.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the menu

  1. On a phone, the sidebar is hidden to make room for the page. Tap the menu button (three lines) at the top of the screen.
  2. The sidebar opens with the same items as on a computer, for example Max AI, Dashboard, Contacts, Orders, Products, Marketing and Page Builder.
  3. Tap an item to go to that page. To close the menu without choosing anything, tap the menu button again or tap outside the sidebar.

On tablets and other medium-sized screens, the sidebar stays on screen but shows icons only. Tap the menu button to switch between the narrow and full sidebar.

Step 2: Use the top bar

The top bar stays at the top of every page. From there you can:

  • Open your notifications with the notifications icon.
  • Open your online store in a new tab with the Preview Online Store icon.
  • Open your profile menu.

Step 3: Handle new orders

  1. Keep Prosperna open on your phone. When a new order comes in, you see a pop-up: You have N new order(s)! and a doorbell sound plays.
  2. The sound repeats every 5 seconds until you close the pop-up.
  3. Tap View Now to see your notifications, or tap the close button (X).
  4. In the sidebar, tap Orders to open and update the order. See How to Manage Your Orders.

Step 4: Manage products

  1. In the sidebar, tap Products, then Inventory.
  2. Add, edit or publish products the same way as on a computer. The pages open in your phone's browser; there is no separate phone layout for the products list.

Step 5: Check your dashboard numbers

  1. In the sidebar, tap Dashboard.
  2. Tap the date range to change it. On a phone, the date picker shows the presets (All, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Current Year) as a row of buttons you can scroll sideways, and one month at a time.
  3. Tap Apply to update the numbers, or Cancel to close the picker.

Step 6: Chat with Max AI

  1. In the sidebar, tap Max AI.
  2. Type your request in the chat. See How to Get Started with Max AI.
  3. When Max AI opens a side panel (for example, to show what it's working on), the panel covers the whole screen on a phone. The chat comes back when you hide the panel.

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

  • Tapping the menu button opens the sidebar and tapping an item takes you to that page.
  • New orders show the You have N new order(s)! pop-up while Prosperna is open.
  • Changes you make on your phone show up when you open Prosperna on a computer.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

  • I can't see the sidebar: on a phone it's hidden until you tap the menu button (three lines) at the top of the screen.
  • I don't see the Setup Your Online Store button: this button only shows on larger screens. Open Prosperna on a computer or a wide tablet to see your setup steps.
  • I didn't get a new-order alert: alerts only show while Prosperna is open. Prosperna doesn't send push notifications to your phone. Check Orders for new orders, and see How to Set Up Order Notifications for email and other alerts.
  • The Max AI chat disappeared: a side panel is covering it. On a phone, the chat is hidden while a panel is open. Hide the panel to see the chat again.

Limitations & considerations

  • Prosperna doesn't have a separate phone version. You use the full dashboard on a smaller screen, so some pages need more scrolling than on a computer.
  • When you set up your store with Max AI on a phone, the Setup progress list beside the chat is hidden.
  • Your team permissions are the same on every device. If a page is missing from your menu on a computer, it's missing on your phone too.
