Summary

Overview: 2-Step Verification adds an extra check when you log in from a device Prosperna doesn't recognize. You'll enter a 6-digit code sent to your email, so someone who knows your password still can't get in.

Prerequisites:

  • You're logged in as the store owner. Team members don't see this setting.
  • Access to your account's email inbox.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Turn it on

  1. Click your profile at the top right of the dashboard, then click My Account.
  2. Open the 2-Step Verification tab.
  3. Switch 2-Step Verification via Email on.
  4. In the Enable 2-Step Verification with Email window, enter the 6-digit code sent to your email.
  5. Click Next.

Step 2: Manage your saved devices (optional)

Devices you've chosen to remember are listed under Saved Devices. A remembered device skips the code for 30 days.

  1. On the 2-Step Verification tab, find the device under Saved Devices. Your own device is labelled Current Device.
  2. Click Remove next to a device you no longer use, and confirm.

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

  • You see "Successfully updated 2-step verification." and the switch shows Enabled.
  • Next time you log in from a new device, a Verify with Email screen asks for a code.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

  • "Please request a new code.": the code expired (codes last 10 minutes). Click Resend in the window to get a new one.
  • I don't see the 2-Step Verification tab: only the store owner can change this setting. Ask your store owner to turn it on.
  • No code arrives: check spam or promotions. You can request another code after a short wait.

Limitations & considerations

  • To turn it off, switch 2-Step Verification via Email off and confirm with a code in the Remove 2-Step Verification with Email window.
  • Removing a saved device means the next login from that device asks for a code again.
